then they locked them in there. And they said, if anyone has found it on the streets until the evacuation, they would arrest him and take him to jail. Yes. We're good. Okay. It's 6.30. So we'll call the meeting of planning and development committee to order. So we'd like to order a prayer. Thank you. Heavenly Father, we humbly come to you tonight to ask you to bless this meeting and thank you, Father, for all committed people here that are here to do the best work we can for students in county. Thank you for the rain and nice weather. In Jesus' name, amen. I would know if Brian's not here because he hurt his back. So otherwise he'd be here. Okay, well, there is maintenance. Well, he said he was flat on his back. Okay. With that entertain a motion to approve the agenda. Second. Second by Baker. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. A review of minutes from June 28. Motion to approve. Motion to second. Second. Any discussion? Hearing none. All in favor say aye. Aye. Any opposed? Approval carries as well. We have claims tonight totaling $1,489.97. Second. Motion and second. Any questions or discussion? Hearing none. All in favor of approving claims signify by saying aye. Aye. Any opposed? All she cares as well. Sam, you have any public comment? No, we'll listen in. Okay. With that, we'll go on to our reports for the meeting. We do not have one from Greater Freeport Partnership. So the report's a tab. It's a tab. It went through. Yeah. Oh, we'll go on to Mrs. Williams. All right, I'll make this fast. Deposit for the month of June, total $4,938.16. Total deposits to date for the general fund are $167,653.26. It was a quiet month. We received the no permit list from the assessment office. We issued 10 code violations in the month of June. Those were all for no permits. Most of them were the no permit from the no permit list. I had five of them come in today already, which was great. I should have the information from our building inspector early next week. He did go out to all four sites and take photos and write up some things. So he'll have the letters to me. Nicole performed 12 inspections and I performed nine for the month. Nicole and I assisted animal control with packing, moving and helping income and clients during their relocation to the new facility. We have started process once again of scanning files for property file folder folders and others to upload them into our software. And I have reached out to greater report partnership regarding potential grant funding to support the update of the county's 26 year old land use plan. Also reached out to Ms. Newcomer and she then included Chairman Helms to get a meeting scheduled. And that's all I have, any questions? Sounds like it's been a busy month. It was quiet, but it was busy. Yeah. Mr. Chairman. Yes, I'm going to ask a quick question, a serious comment. Linda Diddens is back in town. Oh, she is. Good to have you. I tried to call her. I know you had some indirect communication. Indirect, yeah. I don't know if I had to contact her or anything. She paid through real estate taxes. I don't expect you to know this off the top of your head, but roughly, do you know what the liens are, how much? 60,300 approximately. Yes. Do you question, do you want me to start sending out letters again? Yes, we will. There was just a piggyback on it. There was a car at that house out on 26th today. Windows are open. They weren't previous to about a week or so ago. I think what I'll do is post it on the door as well. if you can get to it put it on the garage door too hopefully if you can get to it yeah okay thank you we're some more making a comment piggyback on that if you in Syracuse countyship there's property that she's part of that's falling apart Linda is the whole family uh her and Lyle her brother It's on the corner of Springfield and Orchards. If you want to see the other one that they're part of, that's not in our county, but it's right on the county line, right smack in the middle of Baylorville, and stuff's just piling up around that too. Oh, I know, which one is it? I don't know. Oh, Saturday. Okay. So it's not like it's, I don't want to say it, something new anyway. And the ones in the city, they're all in a mess as well. And I just don't understand why city doesn't, there's no letters on doors there, nothing. So, but I will send out those letters and post them to the properties. Thank you. I did not make it to Southern Water District meeting this month, so I won't have any comments Thanks on that, so we'll go on to 7.4 and I know Mr. Dizzy has some comments on Recreation's Trail. Yeah, they're working on their budget, upcoming budgets, and they would like us to commit to three years of funding $16,500 annually. We've previously had an intergovernmental agreement that is no longer in effect, so I'm not really sure how we handle that. Do we do another intergovernmental agreement? I would like to have another agreement in place before we contribute. Okay. Who makes sense? Who puts that together? Joel? No, I think the receiving party should start that process. Okay. At least give us an idea of what they're asking for. Okay. The existing agreements are a good template to use. Yes. It's not broke, so why fix it kind of thing. But regardless of what they send us, you will look at it, Carl Larson will look at it, because make sure it's something that we can legally enter into and that you want to enter into. Yeah, I'm a little hesitant of committing to three years, you know, that's... Well, and to be fair, served in your capacity on that board previously and maybe this is no longer the case but previously they did want a multi-year agreement because they planned for grants to go out for a certain number of years and they have to fund those so they want to make sure they've got the funding committed for getting into it but again that may be something that they would answer if you have that question specifically why three years instead of an annual but it's up to you guys. Steve Elbeck is was supposed to come to our next meeting. He was unavailable today. He's planning on coming to next month's meeting and discussing this really soon. It'd be ideal if they had proposed an intergovernmental agreement to Georgia prior to that. Okay. Real nice, since we're gonna be starting the budget process in another month, for her to have that, to have in front of you to consider. Okay, I'll get ahold of Steve and pass that along. and if we get by the end of the month, that'd be great. Yeah. The only other thing on the trail is Mr. Zimmer is renting out bicycles, weather permitting. You have to go to his website to find out where, what location he's at on a given day. He does, I think he does Chuddy Crossing and Orangeville. Bill, and I think there was one out by the hotel, Block, I think it was Block, I think he does those three locations and, you know, the weather's been not real cooperative for him, but he's had a lot of interest in, you know, people's stuff, and so you're interested in taking a, you know, like a bike ride? That big branch get removed out of West Flock or it was shoved up underneath the dock. I haven't been able to find my way home, it's just not the ideal for me. I think it was, but I had a little bit of a terrified, honestly. Thanks. Sorry to hear that. I'm going to put them now. That's all I have. Very good. So we'll look forward to that next month. Oh, Blackhawk Hills. There is a short... Oh, I'm so sorry, Sam, that was... We don't have a board meeting exactly for them until like the third week of this month, so I don't think it's up to date. I will say this, I would like to see, we received a lot of money a while back. I would like to see a housing project, and they've been talking about housing and how they've improved. And the Lord knows we have lots of banking plots in our communities. So, you know, I don't know what we'll do, but I'm going to bring it up that maybe if there's some money to be spent, that they spend some money in our county to maybe jump start a housing project. It would just be good to see a new house get built in the city to go somewhere, but even somewhere. That's my thought. That's something I'll bring up. I'll share it with them. I was just going to mention there was a short little update recap attached to the agenda and I believe Mr. Pat, I'm here next month to kind of update, do a report. Dan Payette? Oh, Payette, I need to hear you. Thank you. Okay. I have nothing to add, so we'll move on. I don't have, we have a report from Mr. Remmers. I reached out to him. He's a little behind on the mowing, but he was dealing with some illness in the family. And I know he has some work out at the cemetery that he would like to propose and get done as well, but. And that's the one. Yeah, yeah. 7.8. Just to point your attention to the climate security report for May. If you have any chance to look at it, somebody would like to make comments, Mr. Chairman, if you wanted to. Of course the Facebook posts, the company out on Lamb Road across from Anchor Harvey was hiring. They hired between about $20 an hour, $26 an hour, depending on your experience in Dan Fox. had to add on there too, so I know about some pretty good jobs. You've qualified, so I mean, there's some... Oh, and the Titan has openings? Well, Titan is, it's sad driving by Titan. A whole lot of fires are when I go by, and all I can do is feed. They're still making tires, I guess. Yes, they are. Go ahead. And there's a lot of skilled labor positions available. Just you have to find a qualified workforce to do it. and I mean, Turner's hiring, Snack King's hiring. So there's a lot of places that don't even need alternative skills. Right. There's opportunity. Yes. All right. We have no other old business that I know of and no new business at this point. So I would entertain a motion to adjourn. Burt, Second, All in favor, Aye. That motion is yours. Okay. Sorry about that.
