I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Madam Clerk, please call the roll. Kathy Wilken? Here. Kathleen Altensey? Here. Kelvin, McIlwain, Supervisor Sellers, Patrick Sellers, and we have a quorum. I'm sorry, Ted, you should be in here. Why don't you? Yeah, there you are. Sorry, Ted. Here he is. I'm here. And so is Kelvin. Alright, we definitely have a quorum. We definitely have a quorum, okay. Sorry about that, guys. It's all right. The first order of minutes is the approval of minutes for the June 15, 2016 meeting on the motion and second date. So moved. Second. You still can look at the minutes if you haven't done so already. Just a question, did we start early? No, we started late. We started at 431. My clock says 428. It's 428. I'm sorry, I am lone. Why didn't somebody stop me? Nobody stopped me! We thought you were in charge. You are the official keeper of the record. I know I made mistakes. Are there any questions on the minutes, trustees? No. Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. The next item is the approval of Bill Pebble and the motion has seconded please. So moved. Seconded. Motion by Altensey, seconded by Odendahl. Please take a look at the Bill Pebble. Just a question of curiosity, Freeport RAD 1 LLC, small amounts, what do we got going on? Nothing. Nothing's going on. What? You have different people who are doing their rents at different times, so it's really nothing going on. So like each one of those would be a different person or is it? Yeah. Yeah, each one is a different person. That's a question about process. I'll just ask it now. So when someone's receiving benefits on an ongoing basis, are they kind of like month by month saying, well this month I'd like so much to go here and so much to go here? So we don't dictate to them where they put their grant. So if someone says we don't want to pay our rent, okay? We don't say we have to pay rent first, you gotta do this. No, we don't do that because these are adults. If we don't pay our rent and our mortgage, it's what happens to us. We get evicted, right? So these are adults. So they get to decide whether they spend their grant. We do have some who will pay their rent up, especially if their rent is like $6 or $12, they'll get a grant and pay their rent up for months at a time if they're living in housing. Some will do that. Others choose not to. So it's really their choice how they want to spend their grant, as long as they spend it within the categories that we have and within the places that we have available, they can spend their grants how they choose. So all of these, RAD-1, that would be public housing subsidized. That's right. The amounts are so small. Because I think Brewster and Hosmer are no longer, I guess, owned by the Housing Authority. Freeport, RAD-1, LLC are the official landlords of those properties. Okie dokie. Another question? No? Are there any more questions or claims in the man? Not a question. Well, never mind, I'll say this for um. No, no, no, no, it's probably better for um. Um. Trustee comments. Gotcha. Okay. So are there any more questions or claims in the man? No. No. Are you sure Trustee O'Connor? Well, I'm sure. Okay. Related to bill is payable. Okay. Now I'll put these on the roll. Wilken? Aye. McIlwain? Aye. Altensey? Aye. Odendahl? Aye. Sellers? Aye. Motion passes. The next little bit is the supervisor's report and I am still collecting numbers for what all we've done with the food pantries and the food banks. I'm still collecting numbers from the actual organizations. And I know that I did speak with Golden Meals downtown and they served over 110, I think, thousand units of food with the funding that we allowed that we provided them and that's for, I think they do 870-something meals every day here in this area. So put those numbers together and they sent us how many units of food they provided and that was the number. So that was great. And you know we did 3,200 families with Salvation Army. I'm waiting to hear back for an exact number from Joseph's Pantry and the exact I'm waiting to get all the exact numbers. I don't want to give you guys the exact numbers. Because we had three, right? Yes. I don't want to give you guys estimates when you have the exact numbers. So they're getting those numbers and they're going to give them to us. So I have those for you guys. Now, questions? Nope. Let's look forward to the official numbers when you get them. All right, all right. All right. Next order of business is the, I don't have anything to hand out, the assessor's report. So, I do have a job opening in the office. I have published that out on Indeed. There's a job posting out there as well as on the Township Facebook page and Township website. So, if you know of anybody? What kind of background does it have to have? Well, we need somebody that's fluent in Excel and Word, and if they have some background in real estate, it would be helpful. But they could read the full posting on Indeed or on the Township webpage as well as the Facebook website. Okay, thank you. Right? Okay. Next up is trustees' report. Trustees. Yeah, just wanted to give a, just a shout out to Cup Foods, mainly because they're the only grocery store that takes our grants. So just want to, I want to say, you know, just publicly thank them for that because that is providing a vehicle to our, you know, to those who use our programs, no way to purchase food and unfortunately they're the only store in town doing that. It used to be Walmart, didn't it? It would save a lot. That's right. Okay. It wouldn't save a lot because we asked around and other places wouldn't, you know, like when I set up for a voucher system. So I guess we went and talked to Cubs and they were like, absolutely. And so they were set up for a voucher system and it was a smooth transition and it's been a very great relationship, you know, for so far. They actually make sure that the vouchers are authentic with the raised stamp seal on it and if they have any questions they they will call us instantly for any questions. So we have a good relationship with them and we would like to keep that relationship going. That's great. So that was my comment. That's why I figured I was probably better suited for public comments. Oh, okay. Thank you, thank you, thank you, yep. Trustees, anything else? It's trustees' report, trustees' report, okay. Next order of business, public comments. Any public comments? As always, Shane Orlow. I just want to piggyback off of what you guys have been saying about the food pantries and everything like that. There was also talk in the community about the school district. And the community about the school district having breakfast and yes they do have lunches for kids they also have them for families as well the families have to pay for them though so that's kind of a hindrance and they're at specific times and not easily accessible locations for everyone so I appreciate that you guys are still continuing to support the Is it okay if I ask him for clarification for my minutes? Sure. As long as the presiding officer does object. No, I don't object. This is for my minutes for clarification. You said they do have lunches. Is it during the summertime that we're talking about? Yes, it is during the summertime. They have breakfast and I believe lunch. I cannot give you specific times. I don't know that. So they do have breakfast. Right. And the main point that I'm getting at is that the reason why some kids get the benefit of breakfast and lunch during the school day is because they have transportation to the school. So it's not always easily accessible and it's not provided for the community without a monetary fee as well. So I appreciate that you guys are continuing to put forth efforts to support the food pantries and other accessible locations for food obtainability. Okay, thank you. Any other public comments? Any other business comments for the town? Seeing that there is none, I will adjourn until Monday, July 20th, 2026 at 4:30 PM So moved. Second. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. Meeting is adjourned. Thank you all.
